湖南中医药大学坐落于中国历史文化名城长沙，学校创办于1934年，是一所以教学为主体，集教学、科研、医疗、产业综合发展的高等中医药学府。学校总占地面积1400亩，拥有4个校区，主校区依岳麓南坡，临湘江西岸，环境幽雅，风光秀丽，是求学成才的理想之地。学校下设18个学院；开设24个本科专业，涵盖医、理、工、管、文5大学科门类；拥有16所直属、非直属附属医院和5个校办合资企业；博士学位授权点27个，硕士学位授权点64个，博士后科研流动站2个。现有教职员工3000余人，各层次各专业全日制在校学生2.1万余人。建校以来，学校培养了7万余名以发展中医药事业为主体的精英人才，校友遍布海内外。湖南中医药大学是全国高等中医药院校中首批招收港澳台及外国留学生的单位，是国家局中医药国际合作基地，已培养了来自20多个国家和地区的学历生千余名。

 Founded in 1934 and located in the culturally and historically known city-Changsha，China, Hunan University of Chinese Medicine(HUCM)is a Chinese medical institution of higher learning, which takes its base on education and teaching, while combining teaching, researches, medical treatments and school-run enterprises in its comprehensive development. HUCM covers an area of about 933,380 square meters. Now it has four campuses and the main campus is built at the foot of the south slope of Yuelu Mountain near the Xiang River, which is a nice place to study in and pursue dreams. Boasting 18 schools,24 undergraduate degree programs, covering fields of Medicine, Science, Engineering, Management and Arts, 16 affiliated &indirectly affiliated hospitals and 5 school-run enterprises, HUCM has now 27 doctoral degree programs, 64 master degree programs, and 2 post-doctorate mobile stations.There are more than 21,000 students and over 30,00 faculties in the university.The university has cultivated more than 70,000 graduates working in the Chinese Medical field with their footprints around the world. The university is among the first accredited medical schools to recruit foreign students and students from HK, Macao, Taiwan. It is also a base of international cooperation in Chinese Medicine at ministry level. It has cultivated more than 1000 degree students from more than 20 countries or regions.
